Badminton Shoes
Badminton shoes are built for the fast lateral movement, lunging and jumping of court sport — gum-rubber outsoles that grip and don't mark indoor courts, low-to-the-ground stability, and forefoot cushioning for repeated landings. Running shoes can't do this and can roll an ankle on court.
Fit tips
- Most players size their badminton shoes half a size up from casual shoes.
- Wider forefoot? See our wide-fit range.
- Junior or narrow feet: junior sizes. Larger sizes (US 12+): large sizes.

FAQ
Can I use running shoes for badminton?
Not recommended. Badminton shoes have flat, non-marking gum soles and a low centre of gravity for side-to-side movement. Running shoes have raised, cushioned heels that make lateral movement unstable and increase ankle-roll risk.
