Badminton Shuttlecock
Feather shuttlecocks (goose or duck quill) fly and decelerate the way tournament badminton is played — most club and competition play uses them. Nylon shuttlecocks last far longer and cost less, ideal for schools, beginners, backyard and high-wear training.
Speed
Shuttles are graded 76–79 (slower to faster). Speed 77 suits most of Australia; go 76 in hot, humid or high-altitude conditions, 78 in cold halls.

FAQ
Feather or nylon shuttlecocks?
Feather for match play and anyone serious about the game — the flight is truer. Nylon for practice, beginners, juniors, schools and casual play — they last far longer and cost a fraction as much.
